Hi Roger,
This is an often occurring because of selecting the wrong Thunderbird profile.
I have a couple of questions:
What was the reason for using MSH for this?
What is the ultimate goal of this exercise?
Who or what caused you to use MSH to transfer a PST to Thunderbird?

I know your immediate goal, but were you planning to archive Thunderbird afterwards?

There are better ways to transfer mail than using MSH as the transfer vehicle.
There are several posts about this

The selected profile does not have a configuration for local folders (unresolved)

https://cs.mailstore.com/index.php?/Knowledgebase/Article/View/153/4/thunderbird-archiving

Solutions:
Select the correct profile. or
If at all possible enable Local folders in Thunderbird and download from the original source that
Outlook did - meaning: setup the mail accounts from Outlook in Thunderbird.

If that can’t be done - Export to the IMAP account from where Thunderbird now gets your mail.

Mozilla has it’s own article about PST to Thunderbird
http://kb.mozillazine.org/Import_.pst_files
But I wouldn’t necessarily use Gmail - that has it’s own peculiarities with labels for folders…

Hi,
Thanks for the info. Regarding your questions:

What was the reason for using MSH for this? I have two tasks - migrating from outlook to TH and archiving big database of emails from several email accounts. MSH have such functionality, so why not to use it

What is the ultimate goal of this exercise? I have several email accounts with many emails.
When there are too many emails it slows down the PC, so it makes sense to archive them. At the same time, I need some of them, e.g. last year or two to have them on my PC, so want to transfer to TH as personal folder.

Who or what caused you to use MSH to transfer a PST to Thunderbird? again, I came across MSH, found out that it is a good tool for managing email archive what I did not know before, so I tried it

I know your immediate goal, but were you planning to archive Thunderbird afterwards? as I said, I have several accounts in TH and yes, I want to archive older emails in MSH.

Regarding other posts you mention, there is no solution in these posts. For example in the first post, Rebecca says that it is somehow possible, but does not explain how. In the another post with Rebecca, the post ends when user says he is not sure how to fix it and Rebecca does not reply anymore.
So, my conclusion from all this is that there is such function, but in reality it does not work. Is this correct?

if not, i.e. it works, can you please elaborate on your statement
This is an often occurring because of selecting the wrong Thunderbird profile.
it means, to explain step by step how to do it? I have all the screenshots from TH and MSH, so can send it to you via email.

Thanks a lot
